I'm A Lazy Bum

Wow, so I totally suck. Of course my last post said I would be posting regularly and then I disappear for two weeks. I can't even blame school for that one. Sorry guys! Thanks for all of the book suggestions, I will be getting off my lazy bum and heading to the library sometime this weekend hopefully.

Not much has happened in the two weeks I've been gone. I aced all of my exams, woot! I dyed my hair again, it's brown for now...I'll probably end up going back to blonde by the end of this month. I've decided to start eating healthier so I started the south beach diet last week. The first two weeks you're basically only allowed meat, dairy and vegetables (to eliminate cravings for processed food and sugar), and then you add natural fruits and grains after that. Basically I'm just trying to cut down on my processed food consumption. We'll see how it goes! A great side-effect to all of that is that I'm starting to cook again, which is always super fun. I'll take some pictures tomorrow of what I'm going to make, it should be yummy!

The best thing about these past weeks? Spring is in the air! It's getting a lot warmer here and it should be in the 50s this weekend. I can't wait until it's time to open the windows and do a little spring cleaning. I hope you all are having nice weather!

  1. Hi how are you?

I was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not leave you a comment.

I have a blog also obviously and would like to invite you to become my blog friend.

I mostly post about the Southern California experience through the perspective of my art.

Maybe you can become my pal, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.

Well I hope to hear from you soon... :)

  2. Congratulations on your exams - that's awesome news!

Good luck with the diet too - I've never tried that one, but it sounds pretty sensible.

  3. Jesse - Your blog sounds great, I'll definitely be checking it out!

Kelly - Thanks! I really like it because of the main focus on healthy eating instead of calorie counting. I just have to make sure I don't become neurotic about the scale or eating perfectly all the time...I have a tendency to become obsessed so I'm really trying to just stay relaxed about the whole thing ^_^

  4. I used to announce that I was going to do whatever, and then immediately do the opposite. Usually it involved going on a diet. I would then immediately order pizza and buy a chocklet cake. I've giving up announcing.

  5. Great about your exams! Yippee!

South Beach Diet - we could not cut it - added to the fact im vegetarian, seemed to make it harder. I've been lax on my blog too - trying to get back into writing. Did enormous amounts of cleaning. Now with Spring in the air, looking forward to GARDENING!
